ExperienceI am a humanities librarian (NYS Public Librarian’s Professional Certificate #26417) with a long career in student-focused educational support and research instruction. I enjoy teaching enormously and am currently offering kind, patient instruction in Language Arts tailored to a student's specific needs. I help build confidence and increase ability for the verbal and written SATs that will serve a student through university--and life.
HobbiesI have had a long-term parallel career in theatre as a professional stage manager. I am a certified permaculture gardener, as well as an amateur ornithologist, with a great love for animals, nature and the outdoors. Currently, I am editing essays in
“Alice in a World of Wonderlands: the translations of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”(Jon Lindseth and Markus Lång, editors) for the Lewis Carroll Society of North America. Publication is planned for 2015. My professional resume, references, and a bibliography of books in which I am credited as a researcher are available on request.

I am a recently separated military member and am attempting to return to college. Many of the more prestigious colleges require the SAT, and I knew that I needed help with Critical Reading and Writing. Christine was truly a godsend. She was always prompt, arriving before me (and in the military, if you're not early, you're late!) and had a set schedule that was both accommodating while giving our sessions structure. She was very patient, and most importantly, she could answer every question I had. With her help, I got an 800 on Critical Reading and 690 in Writing, for an overall score of 2260. I have nothing but the highest recommendations for Christine.
